George Wyth/Hartman Reserve - A real jewel in the middle of two great cities. This set of trails offers something for everyone. Biking, running, hiking, skiing, bird watching, etc. These trails have it all. Home of the CVAST Mud Run and Eco Tri.

 

 

Other Metro Area Trails

 

 

Ulrich Park - Cedar Falls - An in-town favorite. Short and fast, Ulrich Park offers good elevation changes and technical riding over logs and roots.

 

Katowski Greenbelt - Waterloo - Follow the river through a lush green forest while staying in town. Simple and fast, the Greenbelt offers a quick escape for those wanting to forget about urban life for a short while.

 

Ingawanis Boy Scout Camp - Waverly, IA - One of the best spots in Iowa to ride, run, or hike right in our own backyard. Up and down singletrack on marked trails. Roots, rocks, logs, sand, and water crossings... what else can you want. Now part of the IMBCS race series. Yearly trail passes available at Bike Tech for $15 per year.

 

 

Close Regional Trails

 

Beverly Park - Cedar Rapids, IA - New school obstacles and trail feel present challenges for those of all ability levels. Conveniently located just of the 380. Powered by LAMBA.

 

Decorah - Decorah, IA - Probably the most varied offroad system in Iowa. Huge climbs and tons of rocks. Extremely well mapped out using GPS. Home of the annual Decorah Time Trials - super fun.

 

Sugarbottom - North Liberty, IA - Iowa's most popular offroad trail system and home of the Sugarbottom Scramble. Varying routes and difficulties marked at each trailhead. Great set of trails for the beginning to advanced mountain biker. Powered by ICORR.

 

Seven Oaks - Boone, IA - Ski hill by winter, bike trails by summer. Great set of ups and downs along with varied terrain. Site of Iowa's only 24 hour endurance race.

 

Human Powered Trails - La Crosse, WI - Wow! Tons of volunteer work and lots of donated land have made the HPTs an excellent site for mountain biking. Great ups and downs, well marked and mapped, and lots of rocks.
